Some of you may not know, but in my former life, I was a wedding planner. I worked for a boutique event company here in Seattle and every summer our lives were peppered with weekends full of of beautiful bouquets, fabulous tabletops, and immaculate wedding details. While there are certainly pieces of event planning I don't miss at all (ahem, crazy brides and disastrous vendors), one thing I still love to do is put together a little wedding inspiration...
This board is a result of a shoot we're working on for The Everygirl as part of their upcoming wedding week, and I'm so excited to see it come together! The inspiration is a seaside wedding - a Seattle seaside. To me, that means lots of washed out blues and greys, with maybe a little peek of sunshine yellow. (Sounds like Seattle weather, right?). We're finishing up all the details as we speak, and I can't wait to share it all with you very soon! Have you seen any wonderful wedding ideas lately you'd want to share?

Love the inspiration! A great twist off of a normal beach themed wedding. Love the muted colors !
ReplyDeleteWhat a interesting job that must be!
ReplyDeleteDidn't know you worked in the wedding biz. I've often wondered what it's really like. Does that mean you're basically working every Saturday in the summer? haha.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see you on the Everygirl.
What a Lovely Palette of Color, so dreamy.
ReplyDeleteI love the soft watercolor palette. What a dream!

Wedding planning is horrendous! I'm a newlywed - got hitched a week and a half ago - and as much as I love planning parties, I can't figure out why anyone would want to plan weddings. They're too structured and too stressful (with all those unreliable vendors!) Love your blog, btw! You're a source of inspiration for me!
ReplyDeletei love the seaside and this wedding is really inspirational!!

Lovely inspiration board! And we're so honored that you used one of our images! :)
ReplyDeleteMy partner was thinking of becoming a wedding planner but decided it would probably be rather stressful. I think the photographers have the best side of it - we get to share the special day without all the stress leading up to it :). I will show my partner your inspiration board though - lovely.
ReplyDeleteTHOSE DRESSES!!! Just...COOL! franki
ReplyDeleteOMG I love this post so much. You're having me re-think my current wedding theme! ;)
