Maggie here from Maggie Rose Interiors, sharing a gorgeous loft space and how to get the look. This space belongs to designer Vanessa Bruno and is in Paris (but of course!). The architecture itself sets the tone for this home - light and airy floors flooded with light, and rustic beams to bring it all down to earth. The decor within continues with that theme, mixing dainty feminine pastels with darker mid century and industrial pieces.
Here we can see the whole space, from industrial dining to pastel living space. All the furniture is clean and spare. Even the more feminine settee is fairly simple, letting the down-filled pillows soften the shape. Both spaces also feature rice paper style lighting. And I love that pop of red from the feather wall hanging.
In a close up on the living room, we can see the juxtaposition of the traditional sofa with the mid century abstract cocktail table. The pastel rug takes a major role and brings warmth to the white walls and adds a touch of sweetness. The vintage floral pillows even adorn some vintage industrial feeling chairs.
Moving over to the dining area, the clean lined and sturdy table is paired with industrial school-inspired chairs. A trio of Nelson-style pendants add some much-needed curves to the area and tie in with the rice paper lanterns in the living space. We see more white sheers that hang in all the windows, bringing continuity to the whole loft.
I found some beautiful pieces that can achieve a very similar look (just add white walls and lots of light!):
In our dining area, a sturdy table from West Elm looks great with vintage school chairs (go straight to the source - a school supplier store!). A Nelson pendant can be hung above, or in the living area (there are lots of shapes and sizes to choose from). A light pink rug anchors our living space, where a delicate settee is piled with pastel floral pillows. Set your drink on this vintage-inspired cocktail table. And add a punch with a bright red juju hat on the wall.

ReplyDeleteThe lateens over the dining table are making me swoon. Functional whimsy? Yes, please.
ReplyDeletethat first photo is so inspiring. I can't wait to finally find our perfect house so I can decorate!
ReplyDeleteThe white lampshades in the first room are almost sculptural... And would make a fantastic DIY.

What a lovely space! Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteReally loving the arrangement of frames on the shelf - especially that some don't have pictures in! It's such a lovely casual touch that adds character to otherwise plain walls.
ReplyDeleteJust...amazing...how "all these looks" were "pulled together." franki
ReplyDeleteThat room and those pictures are absolutely stunning! I love how the all the white and light fabrics bounce the light around the room. We just did a feature on bright sheers a few weeks ago on our facebook page and some of the sheers would look great in this room!
ReplyDeleteHave to love the rustic wood beams. And you can't compare with natural lighting. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOh it's a very cute appartment!
