I've already purchased a pair of apricot shorts and a very peachy little belt from Anthropologie, and I adore the way it looks with a pop of blue (any shade will do!). Which is funny because this was what my inspiration board looked like for last spring...

Basically the same line of thought, but a little richer, with indigos and clay reds. I guess I should really start following my own advice a little sooner when making wardrobe purchases! I like freshening it up with black and white accents though - much more current!

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love it! I actually posted about cobalt blue hues today and was wandering which other colours to pair it with. - Apricot looks like a fabulous choice!
ReplyDeleteStunning colour combo! Have you noticed blue {especially cobalt and inky indigo} are turning up everywhere at the moment? Which suits me just fine ~ they are gorgeous! But mixing it back with apricots and peach ~ ooh, that is a great twist.
ReplyDeleteThis blog is so vain. Do you do anything with your life besides obsess about paint colors and overpriced clothing? It's not all about you, you know.
ReplyDeleteLove this! I would have never thought to put these 2 colors together!

loves!
ReplyDeleteanon - why, yes i do many other things with my life besides obsess about paint colors and (usually) overpriced clothing. but why on earth would i blog about all those other things? THAT would be vain. then it would really be all about me. instead, i like to post on things that inspire me and hopefully others. if you don't like it, you don't have to look at it.
ReplyDeleteLook at that gorgeous blue!!! Wow! Kori xoxo
ReplyDeleteBlue an apricot are my accent colors on my very chocolate brown couch. The apricot is serene and the blue is a punch of color.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful choices for a spring/summer wardrobe :)
Yum! I love this colour combination...so fresh and perfect for spring yet unusual too! Also, I don't know how sharing one's inspirations can possibly come across as vain...no one else has the right to judge the little things that bring another joy, in my humble opinion :)
ReplyDeleteLily, thanks so much for your comment, and I couldn't agree more! xo
ReplyDeleteI've been saying (ok preaching maybe) that salmon is the new color for 2011! But thank you for enlightening me on this fresh combo!
ReplyDeleteThe model in the top photo is a friend from high school. RANDOM.
ReplyDeleteI second Lily. This blog is so inspiring. I love taking little breaks during the day to look at all the beautiful pictures you post!
