LINEN + BLUES

The very first time I traveled to Europe, I brought back with me loads and loads of linen. Linen skirts, linen tablecloths... even a linen suit from Paris that I have yet to ever wear (but can't bear to throw out! Ever since then, linen and I have had quite the love affair. Add to that any type of textured cotton - like chambrays or deliciously broken in canvas - and you've got a recipe for summer in my book...
When I return to Seattle next weekend, I'll be getting into summer mode at home which means lighter pillows, linen on the table and chambrays in the closet. I can hardly wait! Do you have favorite pieces at home that you bring out for summer?

  1. Linen is my favorite fabric and I try to incorporate it year-round in my home. I need that shirt!

  2. Even though I live in Connecticut with cold winters, I can't get enough of seashells and little reminders of summer everywhere, so it pretty much stays out all year round!

  5. I just love that top left image - feels like the perfect summer room. We tend to just pare back for summer...all the duvets and extra blankets get tucked away.
