SUMMER STYLING :: LEM LEM TEXTILES

If you're a real Rue enthusiast, then I'm guessing you may read Bri, Anne and Crystal's blogs - and if so, you've probably seen all their takes on styling some beautiful pieces sent to each of us by a company called Lemlem. You may have previously known them for their beautiful clothing, but they've just released a line of home textiles  that are pretty darn swoonworthy...
The company was created in 2007 by model and actress Liya Kedebe to support her native country of Ethiopia where all the pieces are woven. I chose a blanket perfect for summer days by the lake... but also perfect for adding a lightweight layer to my bed!

I love how the stripes mixed so well with other patterns in the room, and the grey was a perfect match to the grey pillows I already have. The pop or orange got me thinking about adding some punchy piping to that tropical leaf pillow!
The blanket also inspired me to update my bedside table with colorful books and another brightly colored plant. The room feels refreshed and ready for summer!

Check out how the other girls styled their pieces too! Bri also got a blanket, while Anne and Crystal styled two different looks with new pillows.

  1. Hey! Where did you get the leaf pillow? Or is it a fabric you purchased?

  2. It goes nicely with your black and grey pillow too. I think that throw will look great in the fall too.
Hmmm adding orange pompoms to your leafy green pillow would look fun, looks great already too thought! I really like your bedside table.

  4. I love the strips on the blanket! It has a soft nautical feel to it. I totally agree, the blanket does tie well with your book on the nightstand. Where is the night stand from?

  9. So fun! I love your duvet cover; it reminds me a lot of one of John Robshaw's new fabrics for Duralee (21041). We got his new books a few weeks ago and they're amazing!
