A LITTLE OASIS

Last week I left you with a my love for green of a different kind. The real organic grows on trees kind. But it got me thinking... what if I didn't have that luxury? What if I lived in a city that was a little more brown or concrete? Well then... I'd definitely do this:
The next best thing to the real green? Fake wallpapered green. In fact, some might even argue that this is better green (allergy season anyone?).
Supplemented by a few real plants of course... (and one amazing geometric pendant).
Of course, it's no surprise that Doug Aitken's Venice Beach home would appeal to the California girl in me. It's fresh, clean aesthetic is right up my alley...
The softness of the greenery (be it real or fake) balances out the modern lines quite well on its own, but a I'd add a touch of glamour to give it a little kick, and be ready to move right in!

I love the way it feels when I am somewhere inside and feel as if butterflies could be flying behind me or a fox could be passing by because of the atmosphere of the room is so truthfully represented. I have some of that feelling in my own home with a beautiful Brabbu center table called Sequoia (www.brabbu.com). Have a look if you like, I believe you'll find it quite interesting and similar to these!
