Hi readers! Laura here from The Daylight with one stunning piece of art, styled two different ways. Artist Sean Woosley's pieces mesh natural processes and industrial materials for works that seem to move and flow right in front of you. His often month long ocean side process is as fascinating as the artwork itself. (Find more about it in an interview we did last year here.)
Woolsey's work lends itself beautifully to spaces with an organic touch but that doesn't mean only a home near the beach. Drawing on the cooler tones and metallic elements of the work, these pieces bring a masculine edge while letting the colors in the artwork shine...
For the girls I pulled from the light that bursts through the painting and the iridescence of the textures layering in and out...
And of course the sprinkling of gold here and there gives it just a touch of glamour. Keeping the patterns fairly quiet lets the movement of the artwork take center stage. How would you style a Sean Woolsey original?
I like both ways! I do think that it can work in a more traditional, eclectic space as well... Very interesting piece..the more I look at it, the more i love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous use of artwork. I love this feature with the two different styling options.
ReplyDeleteLove both of these, Laura! Gorgeous roundups!
ReplyDeleteSuch a fun idea! I love the first option....but I usually dig the "masculine" look.

Beautiful painting!
ReplyDeleteYou are very clever. I love the way the electric blue POP's against the tan. It adds colour but in a very masculine way and every man should have a globe - I'm sure the boys would love it!
ReplyDeleteI really like both of these! It's a gorgeous piece to work with though- the colours are amazing.
ReplyDeleteThis mix is really beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThe artist Tania Mouraud made also this kind of word but only with pictures
