So, it would only make sense that it be inspired by villas in Sicily, capturing a "sweet ruined ambiance" by the sea. (Isn't that just the loveliest phrase?)

Welcome to the incredible dining room that grew out of the vision of antique aficionado Richard Shapiro. He built the entire home on a plot of land that happened to have two 200-year-old cyprus trees framing that incredible view...
While most of the home is filled with antiques, I love this space for it's perfect blend of California living with European sensibilities. Light-filled, simple, and appreciative of that amazing view. The windows and beamed ceiling are really all the architecture you need to house such beautiful simplicity.
