BORED WITH MY (SIDE)BOARD

I love the walnut sideboard in my dining room, but it's been feeling a little neglected lately. I think the lamps I have on it are a touch too big and it's the one spot in my home that's constantly unstyled (gasp!)...
I had originally thought that the sideboard would actually function as a bar - possibly holding some of my glassware collection with my little tray of liquors set atop just like this. Perhaps I need to revisit this idea.
I also wish it were in a spot where I could flank it with some bold chairs like this mix. Maybe she needs some repositioning in the house! (Here I go, rearranging again...) One thing is evident from both of these photos though - I need a square piece of artwork for above. I like the off-center look - it makes it a bit more casual, don't you think? What's on your sideboard?

  6. What about if you add variations of frames of different illustration art work? That'll look great on the sideboard! LOVE the chair but not a fan of the strip pattern...perhaps instead of strips you can do a solid color, that'll look awesome too! Keep us posted with the progress though :)
