HAPPY {TO BE HOME} WEEKEND

After a week of travel, it's so nice to be home again in the Emerald City (that's Seattle, if you don't know).

Although I have to say that North Carolina certainly holds its own when it comes to lush green scenery.

On our last day in High Point, Ashlina (of The Decorista) and I took a little road trip to Raleigh to visit Jamie Meares (of i suwannee) and see her shop, Furbish (more on that next week!). Along the way we were marveling at all the lush green along the highway. I think I can officially say that wherever I end up putting down roots, I must have green... lots and lots of green...
It was a really wonderful week away. I spent so much time with friends new and old creating little memories, that this quote felt quite appropriate...
I wish the same for you this weekend! Enjoy the moments, my friends. They last much longer than the things.

  7. After living in Atlanta for 2 years, I had to return to the west. I didn't realize it when we first moved, but all the green became claustrophobic. I missed the mountains - Seattle certainly has the both of best world. The views as well as the green.

That quote is so relevant. A study found that people who spent their money and time on experiences as opposed to things were substantially happier.

  12. So very true. I am visiting my family in Italy right now and I found myself just wanting to enjoy theirs and my friends' company, rather than running around taking photos and visiting places, for once.

Moments are especially valuable when they include people we love, I think.

Lovely post, I hope you have a nice weekend!
