MAKING THE TIME

While I don't leave for Iceland until later next week, I will be off to Chicago for a quick trip on Monday and then packing like a mad woman for a wonderful and very overdue getaway with my girls...

After being sick of all my couple friends going off on fun little trips together, I suggested to my best college girlfriends that it was high time we made time for our own getaway - just the ladies! I can't wait for this foursome of women, who all work incredibly hard, to get on a plane, put away our laptops, shut off our phones (and in one case escape four children!) and just BE with each other. These days it takes a foreign country to make us all ignore our emails, late night work habits and family duties, so we're making it happen.

The good news for you is next week I'll have a lineup of guest bloggers contributing their own travel-inspired posts! Some of my very favorite people, so be sure to come by and say hello to them!

    Iceland is an incredible choice, I think. I've never been there, but heard that its really unworldly, and tends to put things in a new perspective. Would be interested in your take on it.
