It's that time again! Foodie Fashionista time. Today I (Crissie, from Chicasaurus-Rex) am bringing you my most recent obsession: Blood Oranges.
It started with a simple margarita one happy hour (if you've never had a blood orange margarita stop reading this and go get one, now!) And the next day I grabbed one for lunch. Blood Oranges are gorgeous, on the outside they look like a normal orange, but when you peel them you find the fruit inside is deep fuchsia.
When I spotted this Blood Orange sorbet on Dessert for Breakfast I knew it was perfect for a Foodie Fashionista post... dig in!

Love cocktails with blood oranges in them! When scouring a menu, it is what my eyes are searching for. Via Tribunali in Fremont makes a great one.
ReplyDeleteI still have to try blood oranges too. Think I`ll eat them while watching a vampire movie! Eek hate the name of them.:)
ReplyDeletePretty post. Love the orange shoes.

Love blood oranges and they have a short peak season. Try my favorite salad...need to post the recipe but here it is: arugula, fennel, parmesan shreds, blood oranges and red onion with balsamic viniagrette. The flavors together are heavenly.
