Hello readers! Crissie of Chicasaurus-Rex here, and this week a am departing a little from my normal foodie posts to bring you something new (new is good, right?) Because for me, cravings aren't just about food. I sometimes get fashion cravings in a HUGE way. The need, want, have to have now kind of way!
Most recently (after seeing all of the fabulous examples durring NYFW) I am craving party pants. What are party pants you might ask? Well - simply put they are patterned pants. Bright, bold prints make for the best party pants. Here are some prime examples from the Fall runways:
and here's my must-have list for now -
I'm calling it - Party Pants are the new Maxi Skirts!
How do you feel about the trend? Are you on board? Or do you like to keep things more low key?
Seeing how cute these look makes me wish that I had skinnier thighs so they'd look good on me. :) xo
ReplyDeleteI'm into it, but I'm also curious see how ladies will end up styling them on the streets. I'm totally loving floral pants right now though. I've get my eye out for some.
ReplyDeleteI've had my eyes on those A+O pants... love them!! Florals and stripes... I'm loving the spring trends! :)
ReplyDeleteI think you need to be rally tall to pull off printed pants...not for lil ol me

I just did an outfit post with Robert Rodriguez silk slouchy pants in a bold graphic pattern. The day I wore them, I can't tell you how many total strangers walked up to me and complimented the pants. It was nuts. So yes, I'm fully on board!!
ReplyDeleteThey do look very cool..but one would need to be long lean legs to carry them off..doesnt stop me from loving them though! xx meenal
ReplyDeleteI love the Citizens of Humanity floral jeans! They are such great daytime party pants!

I love the idea of party pants! While I'm not really into the idea of spending a lot of pants that can't be worn very often, I'll definitely try to find some at F21 or H&M.
ReplyDeleteDefinitive, Not for me!
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's my age, but I think these are the ugliest things I've seen in years!
ReplyDeletethese pants are going to be big this spring Im excited to see how you ladies are going to rock them.
ReplyDeleteSorry, but i'm with Squeak... i think somebody out there is having a chuckle... these are straight out of the 80s (and not in a good way)...
ReplyDeleteAs beautiful..unique..trendy...fabulous as
ReplyDeletethey are I think I have to admire them verses purchase.
Fun Post!
I think 'C' looks like something I would absolutely love, but my husband would hate to be seen out with me. 'E' looks like a good compromise!
ReplyDeleteOh goodness. No. I like the look of the J Crew pants, because the pattern is subtle, the color is great, and it's not paired with completely crazy pieces. I'm not a patterned clothing gal.
ReplyDeleteOoo! Super huge thanks for the heads up about Alice + Olivia. I'm not the most trendy of fashion people (by about a football field or so) but I likes what I likes, and both the kelly green and black stripes AND the rose bell bottoms from your Faves list are dark chocolate indulgent! so glad I saw this post!
ReplyDeleteThere are some REALLY cute pants there but I know I won't be wearing this trend. I think I have nightmares about horribly printed, pleated pants from the 80s and jr high ridicule.
ReplyDeletethe fall 2012 j.crew collection were full of amazing patterned and textured pants. perfect for spring/summer and I definitely see this trend being taken far into fall.
ReplyDeleteThis type of party pants are look so stylist and cool.It really cut look with different designs and colors.
