ROOM OF THE WEEK 1.12
The first Room of the Week of the new year! I've been saving up some goodies - all very different in style - and can't wait to share them with you over the next month! But today's space is doing double (or maybe triple?) duty as a dining room, office, and living area, which is why I love it...
While there is certainly a lot going one here, I don't get a feeling of the space being overly cluttered... just a lot of fun detail! The dining area is definitely the centerpiece of the room with the most original pieces and that bold chandelier, but the black and white palette allows everything to work well together, and for the fun artwork to really stand out. The television being mounted up high means you don't have to design the space around it - something I've been struggling with a bit in my own apartment. And lastly, let's talk about creative use of space in those wall areas between the windows! Perfect.
The feel is very neo-classic and and I have to say I really love it. The only piece I might add is a small, thin rug under the dining space to ground it just a bit. Oh, and maybe a sofa... which I'm guessing is somewhere around here...?

Love the geometrical shapes mirrored throughout the room, and especially the stacks of books in the corners! Adding the flatscreen is a little much for me, but dining/working room looks great!
I have to say that while there is a lot goin gon---the design keeps it interesting and not cluttered feeling. The book stacks are my favorite feature!
I love when I see dining rooms that have a double use. Books and dining rooms are very chic combo to me.
So pretty, the only thing I don;t like is the television in the top corner :/

Love the shelves and the chairs this room has going on. I like a lot to look at so it doesn't seem cluttered at all. Totally just pinned it!

A little cluttered, not my fav.

I love all of the great details and it doesn't feel cluttered at all!
The floors are the first thing that called my attention and they can add to a "busy factor". I don't see it as cluttered but with more accessories, it could easily be. I think it's creative and fun and sophisticated!
