GET THE LOOK :: BRIGHT NEW YEAR

Happy New Year's ladies! It's Cristina from Fuji Files and I'm looking to start the year in an ensemble that is as bright and optimistic as I'm feeling. So, what better color than yellow? My winter wardrobe is primarily (ok, entirely) made up of black pieces, so a bit of yellow is going to pack some serious punch to my usual look.

Luckily most of us already have a black jacket, a black bag, and black ankle boots, so the only splurge is a yellow skirt or dress, I chose to go all the way with a maxi! Wearing a full length dress can feel like you're swimming in fabric, so add a structured jacket and accentuate your waist by cinching a skinny belt over the jacket or dress.

Just imagine how luxurious (and warm!) a full length velvet column would feel to wear! Top it off with a leather jacket for high style contrast. Bonus points if you can find those yellow and black sunnies! Cheers to a bright and beautiful New Year!

  3. As a former blackaholic, let me warn you that once you go BRIGHT you never go back. I can barely wear dark colors at all since my reformation. :-) Love the yellow maxi, too fun!

  14. I love the look of yellow. It's such a bright, beautiful color that adds life to any look. My mom has always worn bright colors, and it's only after years of wearing all black and gray that I'm finally listening to her!

    Thanks for the style inspirations!
