AN UNCOMMON CHRISTMAS

Sooo.... I ordered a black Christmas tree on Friday. I'm not sure what inspired me to go in this total opposite direction (I've always had metallic or white!) other than I thought it was time for something with a little more drama...

I'm a traditionalist at heart, but you know that I like to shake things up with my holidays and do something a little unexpected. Christmas has never been red, white and green for me, so I'm starting to collect some ideas for where I'll be taking this black tree. I spy stripes, lace, birds and feathers, mirrors, snow capped branches, and plenty of lanterns - all with a very Indochine inspired vibe. What do you think? Extreme? Or exciting?

  17. I spotted a black tree this weekend, incredibly tempting but the white one was nearly half the price so I went with that. I can't wait to see what you do with it!

  26. So amazing!! Where can I find a black tree? I never been into green myself because it's to expected. I'm from NYC and would live to know a place I can pick one up.

  27. Me, TOO! In an old suitcase I found my last black taffeta (flocked) circle skirt HS Prom) and black net "can can" (50 years old) and will layer with silver sequin underneath the net for my "tree skirt." And then.... franki
