ReplyDeleteI have this fuzzy robe that my husband calls the "green monster" yeah not cute..but SUPER warm and snuggly ;)
ReplyDeleteI love to sit next to our fire snuggled in a blanket with a cup of cinnamon hot coco with a good book :)
ReplyDeleteI've got homemade limoncello seeping in my cabinet, which I plan to drink during my first grey Seattle winter. Sunshine in your mouth! I also make lemonade with the leftover lemons for the same reason. I drink these huddled in a ridiculous but soft blue snowman blanket that was a gift probably bought from some drugstore. It's hideous, but it's comfortable and tongue-in-cheek. Unfortunately, it's getting old and pilled, which is why a cozy West Elm blanket would be perfect!
ReplyDeleteI warm up during winter with giant mugs of hot herbal tea.
ReplyDeleteaaand the Chloe throw is adorable and looks insanely cozy!
OHhhhh me and my sweatpants and my slippers are besties in the winter time. And since it's dark at 4:45 I put em on as soon as I get home.

ReplyDeleteWhen my thick, warm socks come out of storage, I know it's winter! My fave is the Cozy Throw. Although I really wish it came in a steel blue!
ReplyDeleteI have been a college student on a budget for the past four years.. but the good thing is that just because you are on a budget doesn't mean I had to sacrifice keeping cozy in the bitter cold and windy winters of NYC. An abundance of soft faux shearling pillows, an oversized homemade thickly crocheted cardigan and fluffy slipper socks all do the trick just fine. Some sparkling snowflake ornaments dangling in the windowsill and a burning vanilla-cinnamon candle adds that perfect winter warmth to kick back and relax!
ReplyDeletePS. These West Elm blankets look amazing... The "Chloe Throw" and "Faux-Fur Throw" are absolutely divine!
I make it cozy by lighting candles (something like pumpkin or hazelnut) and always have apple cider on hand :) These blankets are beautiful!

To get cozy in frigid Chicago winters, I rely heavily on furry slippers, a soft robe and a hot toddy!
ReplyDeleteMy apartment doesn't have a fireplace, so I like to put mulling spices in a pot on the stove to give my lace a wintery scent! You can buy mulling spices at the grocery store, but I like to make my own.
ReplyDeleteCombine equal portions of cloves and whole, dried allspice berries. Place 2 tablespoons of the mixture into the middle of a small square of cheese cloth along with 1/2 a tablespoon of ground nutmeg and 2 whole cinnamon sticks. Heat gently on the stove and the house smells just like Christmas!

I add throws to the sofas much like everyone else likes to do, change the colors of my drapes from an airy light color to a darker warmer hue (i have chocolate velvet ones i love).
