RUE EXTRAS: A GEORGETOWN GEM
One of my favorite hidden neighborhoods in Seattle is Georgetown. And one of my very favorite people (who happens to reside in this neighborhood) is interior designer Leah Steen, owner of Revival Home & Garden. So, needless to say this feature was one of my favorites to work on for the Anniversary Issue of Rue for many reasons...

Not the least of which is the fact that I'm in love with Leah's fearless mix of color and pattern. Followed closely by the fact that she whipped up some seriously good guacamole for us in the middle of the shoot.

While the living room layers on an amazing mix of styles in regency-inspired fashion, the kitchen opens up into a fresh palette of green and red that will literally take your breath away. And perfectly placed in between it all? Beautiful walls of art and collected objects.

Dying for more details? You can see the full shoot in Rue that includes a full view of this amazing breakfast nook that I'd like to plop right into my own home, and learn a little bit more about a fabulous designer that I'm so proud to call a friend.

I am so envious of people who can throw a bunch of patterns and colors together and have it looks amazing and interesting. I don't have that skill. So excited about the issue!
This house is perfect - eclectic, and simultaneously simple.
