RASPBERRY DREAMS

Could we all just pause for a moment in this hectic day to worship at this altar of raspberry trimmed with gold?

When I was in Las Vegas for market, I attended a panel that Tobi Fairely was speaking on. She mentioned that the best way to infuse color into a home is to do a monochromatic palette because it reads more as a neutral when you layer the same color (maybe different hues) on top of each other. I think this rule applies to this Miles Redd interior perfectly. Is it completely over the top? Sure. But the fact that it's all one shade makes it a little easier to digest.

But, let's be honest. All I really want are those walls.

First, I love this room. Second, I think you're presenter was right - going monochromatic makes such a beautiful impact. It also reads as less pop and more cohesive when you put different layers of the same hue together.

So true...if this room had been verbally described to me I would have totally thought it would be WAY too much raspberry, and a little crazy. But seeing the layering of all the same color makes it bold, yes. But crazy? Not at all. Thanks for sharing.

The raspberry color is so rich in that picture that I just want to eat the whole room. Gorgeous!

This wall would rock your bathroom's face off. And go with your tiles.

OoooOo!!! normally, i would never think that doing a whole room in rasberry would look normal or even good..but this looks great! i usually always have to stick to neutrals because i'm worried if i do something like this, my husband will think it's toooo girly! but this doesn't look bad.... do you think a guy would mind hanging out in a rasberry themed library?? i wonder if you could get a purplish/red carpet too?! Thanks for the idea!!! :)
