GET THE LOOK :: VINTAGE FLORAL

Raise your hand if your closet is full of solids and staples (guilty!). Prints can get a little intimidating, and you have to find the one that works for you, but I'm loving the vintage floral trend as an incredibly chic way to introduce a little pattern into your wardrobe.  Cristina from Fuji Files here to share a few tips on this ladylike print.

Ideally you'd stumble upon a perfect vintage find on your next shopping outing, but in case you don't, seek out new pieces with a classic silhouette like a pencil or A-line skirt. Since the style is a little bit retro, we'll want to update the the look with modern accessories - here I've picked out some platform pumps, a foldover clutch, and an oversized men's watch. If you're really ready to step up your pattern game, throw a striped knit over a polished dress!

A healthy dose of color, fearless pattern mixing, and some serious accessories take a pretty little vintage floral straight from past to present.

I would never think of wearing florals and stripes, but it looks uber chic.

I usually don't wear florals, but I 'm starting to like some... not too busy, some delicate ones.

Beautiful post!

LOVE that outfit on the top left - I actually have a whole host of florals in my wardrobe at the moment. It started with one piece than started to bloom (pardon the pun but I just couldn't help myself!)

Love the stripes with the floral. I'm definitely guilty of owning a multitude of solid clothes but have been trying to break through that comfort zone. When in doubt, I add a solid vest over top to help tone down the look!

yes, yes, and yes. The really fab thing about living in LA is that (I think) I'm allowed to floral prints all year long. So long as there are flowers blooming, one can wear florals, right? :)

Oh floral. My ultimate love. Seriously I think I might cry when it starts going out of style. Though unfortunately that has yet to happen of course. Let's just pray it never does. :)
I absolutely love the look you put together. That dress is amazing and paired with those glasses? Ahh just LOVE.
