Let's be honest, a maxi is almost as good as sweats. It's a quick throw on, totally comfy, and you look like you actually put some thought into your ensemble. Top it with a few fun accessories and a casual cardi to ward of cooler temps, and you're set for the market... and whatever the rest of the day may bring! Now if the weather would just cooperate a little more...
*statement maxi dress by issa, cardigan at anthropologie, bangles at topshop, my favorite reusable shopping bags - baggu, and must have espadrilles at piperlime.

Love this look and wish I can pull it off as effortlessly. Unfortunately, I'm short, so I always feel like I'm playing dress up in my mom's clothes when I wear a maxi.

ReplyDeleteagreed! the maxi dress is amazing and yes even something that simple and comfortable can look pulled together. I wish more people in pdx would try that instead of the droopy sweats.

ReplyDeleteI love a good dress to wear to the market, makes it feel like an outing, not a chore.
ReplyDeleteEverything starts to tickle inside, when I see summer things. I like that print, those shoes, the colors and bracelets. Now I can see in my little cloud, I'm buying bananas.
ReplyDeletei love this dress; it is voluminous and long and has a bold pattern, so definitely not a piece for everyone, but is fun and flirty and perfect for a saunter to the market.
ReplyDeletein my town, the farmer's market is only sunday mornings, and i tend to through on a skirt and a white tee shirt, still reminiscing about whatever i did the evening before. thanks for the inspiration!
