WRITING'S ON THE WALL...

Just a little monday inspiration to get you out of bed this morning...

Dolly was right. You'll never do a whole lot unless you're brave enough to try. That includes making bold decorating decisions like a fabulous and whimsical mural wall behind a chic (and somewhat traditional!) little bedroom setting. So, whatever it is you're putting off, take some advice from the wall - just do it.

Have a fabulous, inspired week!

  1. I love that quote! It is so true. And I love the way the room looks with the mural. A daring choice that works!

  3. So funny, we just gave our bedframe to our 12 year-old and need a headboard - I was trying to convince my hub to go with a tufted look and pressing that it wasn't too feminine. Let me show him this, you never know :)

  4. I've seen the use of chalkboards in a number of different places, but never behind a bed...quite ingenious.

  8. I am showing my 12 yr old daughter this image! She is very creative and wants to have complete control over decorating her room. She keeps asking me if she could paint the wall behind her bed black! I have been nixing this idea repeatedly. Now, after seeing how delightful this black wall looks I think I would actually let her do it! I am so happy I stopped by today and saw this post. Do you think it would work in a bedroom? Realistically? Thanks!

  11. such a great quote, and a pretty room! i'm looking for a new bed frame, and keep debating between a plain or patterned headboard. i think this is the perfect compromise- plain bed frame and patterned mural behind it!

  15. jamilyn, i think it would work, but maybe go for a toned black (something a little softer and on the dark grey or midnight blue side) - good luck!!

  16. I LOVE this wall! I'm trying to figure out in what universe would I have the courage to do something this bold! I think if I painted the wall with chalkboard paint and did the drawing and writing in chalk, I might be able to do it... pray for me to be FILLED with courage!

  19. I typically don't like purple, especially in the bedroom but I just love this. Now if I could just find someone who is good at drawing to come decorate my chalkboard wall...
