COCKTAILS AT SIX: GRAPEFRUIT MIMOSA

Every year it’s the same; the calendar turns to the first of January and I’m already thinking of Spring sunshine and lighter days ahead...

Maybe it’s all the rich indulgences of the recent holidays, but nonetheless, my cocktails are ready for something a touch on the sunny side too. For even if snow is still on the ground, I know warm days can’t be far behind - just sitting by a sun-streaked window will have to do for now!

Grapefruit Mimosa

1/4 cup cranberry juice
1/4 cup pink grapefruit juice
Champagne

Pour cranberry & pink grapefruit juice into a champagne flute or thin glass. Top with your favorite champagne or sparkling wine. Serve immediately. Serves 1.

  21. Amazing colour - and just the ticket for an Aussie summer day {although right now it is pouring with rain in Melbourne so I will save this recipe for the weekend and it may have decided to be summer by then!}

  22. Mmmm, this sounds delish. Grapefruit is my favorite, so I'm definitely going to have to try this. Also, I kind of want to be that girl in the picture. There's not much I wouldn't do to get my hands on that super cute pink skirt. My new mission is to find one just like it :)

  26. omgosh love love love the colors. (I'm actually not even a fan of pink) but these look great! I've really been into the nude's and faded pinks and the flow of the girl's top is so summery I love it.

  27. I tried it!! I know we are not even close to spring (since I live in Miami Beach it's hard to tell:) so I went for it and served these DELICIOUS mimosas last night for a dinner I hosted for my sister's birthday. They are so yummy and refreshing, will be perfect for when it's warm out. Thanks for sharing the recipe!!
