ROOM OF THE WEEK 12.23

Three words: white washed brick. Seriously, it's amazing what it does for a space...

I'm such a sucker for antique pieces in light-filled lofts. It's the perfect setting to mix and match eras of furniture! Combining florals, tartan and stripes add perfectly to the eclectic vibe.

And how about the dining room? (And by dining room, I mean bar!). That huge built-in looks like it belongs in a restaurant... or in my home since I have a serious addiction to collecting tabletop goodies like dishes and glassware. I might opt for some comfier chairs though... rolling around in those things after a few glasses of wine might be dangerous! (Or highly entertaining!)

  1. I love exposed brick in a room. It does wonders. And I am loving the whitewashed brick - love how it lightens a room up, but still adds the amazing texture brick brings to a wall.
    Much love,

  7. Not sure if I could whitewash the bricks since white to me just seems so sterile but I definitely love the texture of exposed brick and also the bright spots of colors in both rooms. This is gorgeous!

  14. Oh goodness, that floral couch pulled my heartstrings. I have a similar-shaped couch from my grandmother languishing in the basement. It's in desperate need of upholstering, and now you're going and giving me ideas . . .
