While most of them have to do with the usual (save more money, lose more weight, and so on) my biggest one is really more about finding a new direction.
In 2009, I took a big leap in taking coco+kelley from a blog to a business, starting with my first interior and event clients. For me, 2010 was about growing and learning and building both personally and professionally. And now, I'm ready for new things in 2011. So many possibilities suddenly lay before me that it can be slightly paralyzing to actually make decisions. Which makes resolution #1 the courage to move myself forward in the next big direction... what will it be? A new city? New job? New passions? New travels? I hope by taking one step, the next will follow and I'll find myself tumbling into new and exciting adventures once again!
And you, my loves?? What are your resolutions for the coming year?? Let's make some promises together!

I think we share very similar goals, Cassandra! Good luck in 2011! :)
ReplyDeleteI couldn’t agree more…we all have the standard lose weight, save money etc but it’s the ones that give you butterflies that count. I’m with you…let’s make some promises together and go for it!! The way I see it …we have nothing to lose everything to gain!!
ReplyDeleteHope you had a magical Christmas!!

We have similar goals for 2011. I am trying to figure out if a new city is just what I need, or at least want, to get me started going after my dreams. And until I have that figured out, more travel needs to happen - best way to get a read on a location, go visit it first hand!
ReplyDeleteMuch love,
B
Cassandra, good for you! As Crystal said, take a leap and a net will appear. We're hoping for similar courage over here at 203040 and will be watching you and cheering for you on your journey. Can't wait to see what you do next!

ReplyDeleteMine are similar and typical, with the addition of getting straight A's in my masters program and getting my research business of the ground.
Here's to a happy and prosperous 2011 for us all!

I love your resolution. I find myself at a similar crossroads with graduation from college fast approaching! I don't know where I'll end up even six months from now but I'm so excited for the journey to begin. Happy happy happy 2011! xoxoxo

Excited for you, Cass, because whatever you do will be fabulous! In the new year, I'm opening up a design showroom/event studio in February. Would LOVE to have you fly into Southern Missouri to join me in celebrating a new endeavor that has me a little paralyzed with the same thing you mentioned. Regardless, I'm still hopeful and want to extend a toast to you, dear Cass...May you have a Happy, Prosperous and Promising New Year! xo
ReplyDeleteI love the necklace -- what a perfect reminder! I want to say that my resolution is to focus my career (as I graduate in June) and to be more careful with money, but really, I just want to live better. Not with better means, per se, but to just to a better job of living.
ReplyDeleteThat deserves a BIG cheers! We all have to take chances...go out on a limb. If you are passionate, it will all come together. Can't wait to celebrate all of our progress in 2011!
ReplyDeleteI love the necklace!! I'm with you for 2011, I took my first chance at starting a blog! Hope you have a wondrous New Years, and I wish you all the luck in 2011! :)

I don't do well with the traditional resolutions (lose weight, be more organized, etc.) My resolution is similar to yours: grow. Grow as a person, grow my blog, etc. I want 2011 to be the year of growth.
ReplyDeleteyou are so talented ... dare to dream!
ReplyDeletewishing you all the best in 2011.

Cassandra,
ReplyDeletelast year (09) I wrote down my resolutions,
one was to "Live in Palm Springs during the winter months " At the time it seemed nearly impossible,as I write his I am in our house in the desert that we purchased in April.
Take a chance and make it happen !!
We are more powerful than we know.
Shay ~Designer Junk Finder
P.S forgot my google password
how exciting to know you can allow yourself to take that chance! go for it and good luck!
ReplyDeleteat the end of 2009, i had a few thoughts running through my mind regarding where I'd like to take 2010. one hope was to move to Melbourne - Australia and live not only a beautiful lifestyle in such a lovely city but to allow myself to think that it could happen. I told myself that by April, I would move (i was scared to believe it) and it happened! i got a job and had to move in 2 weeks.
For me, it was also a year filled with opportunity to learn and grow as a person and am also excited by the choices i have coming my way as a result. Bring on 2011 :D
Best of luck in whatever you choose to do.
xx
Same here! I've been taking it slow and steady for a few years, but for 2011, it's time to take some BIGGER risks...
ReplyDeleteWishing everyone a fabulous 2011! :-)
2011 is going to be BIG for you...I can just feel it!
ReplyDeleteMine? A fresh start after a very long and trying Fall. Best of luck to you!! I hope all of your dreams come true! You're young and talented, you'll have a great year.
ReplyDeleteI've decided this year that instead of making one resolution, I'm making a giant fabulous to do list. It includes fun activities, parties to throw, career moves, aspirations, goals, etc. This way I will feel fabulous every time I cross something off the list. You could say my only New Year's resolution is to be even more fabulous!
ReplyDelete"Which makes resolution #1 the courage to move myself forward in the next big direction... what will it be? A new city? New job? New passions? New travels? I hope by taking one step, the next will follow and I'll find myself tumbling into new and exciting adventures once again!"... couldn't have said it better myself! I am at a crossroads in my life, and I am looking for all of the above in the new year! Best wishes for an AMAZING 2011!
