A QUIRKY LITTLE CHRISTMAS

I know I've seen this scene from Martha Stewart before, but I'm completely obsessing over this quirky little tinsel tree this year...

Maybe it's my newfound single status that's making me embrace all the girly goodness I can get, but the pink and silver is killing me! Not to mention the random winter snow scene going on below in what appears to be a hugely oversized pie tin. But it does look a bit awkward sandwiched between those two very traditional decorative 'planters'. I think it would be much more at home in my office instead...

  2. I'm so tempted to do pink each year, but then think I'll be over it the next year. It's been 3 years now, and I'm still not.

  3. I've never seen anything quite like it before, especially around the base of a tree. I almost expect that there would be pie at the bottom. It's the ultimate chic girl's tree. I love!

  4. Funny, as I have been freaking out about wanting a gigantic silver tinsel tree this year ~ we decided to wait until January to purchase it with the holiday decor sales and all.

I've got a collection of bright MOMA ornaments that would look just dynamite on a silver tinsel tree. Turquoise, hot pink, orange, citron green...

Next year, I will be sure to send you a pic. Of course, by then you might have moved on from tinsel, who knows?!? ;)

    Happy Holidays!

  6. Agree-- it's the snow seen in the "over-sized pie tin" that just makes it. I'm more of a trad tree girl, but I can never say no to pink! -Jeanne

  24. So cute! I agree though - don't really care for those planters flanking it - they take away from the kitchiness of it :)

  31. Love This! Makes me miss the Metropolitan Deluxe that used to be up the street from me. It was always filled with purple, silver, and white trees this time of year.
