FOUND! GILDED BRANCH MIRROR

I have always been in love with this entryway of layered mirrors from Aussie Vogue Living, and have been particularly obsessed with the organic nature of those gilded branches...

Hunting for mirrors for a client last week, I stumbled upon this fairly affordable version and am considering where to put it in my own home!

While it doesn't have the same detailed texture as the original, it makes a perfectly acceptable substitute.

  3. It's beautiful!
I think, if you put it against a mirror, as it is on the VL pic, it will double the details and will make it look even more intricate.
Anyways, I have a few issues of VL and I love them!

  7. Excelent "find"! I love this "branch mirror" too... Once in a while I see it decorating the amazing rooms of the magazines, and it always call my attention!
Great job Cassandra of finding a less expensive version!

Totally gorg...but $698?! That's a bit steep for a mirror in my humble opinion.

  12. $700? For real? Or was that the price of the original mirror in Aussie Vogue Living? Please share with us where you located the one you feature today and any details you have....I have the PERFECT spot for this....didn't know I needed it until I saw it....now I fear I, too, will be mounting a search...but $700 DOES bring me up SHORT!!! Thank you, thank you!

  19. Great post! Everyone who thought the less expensive (by Made Goods) mirror was too expensive should know that the original (by Hérve Van Der Straeten) is bronze and costs upwards of $15 grand! There was also a really inexpensive one by Pottery Barn that can be found sometimes on Ebay!

  20. THANK YOU Elizabeth! Believe it or not, people, $700 can be considered 'more affordable' when were talking about designer pieces ;)

  21. I think Made Goods makes the original... Not sure though.
