Hunting for mirrors for a client last week, I stumbled upon this fairly affordable version and am considering where to put it in my own home!

While it doesn't have the same detailed texture as the original, it makes a perfectly acceptable substitute.

Beautiful and so artsy... I love it!
ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS!! Don't you just love Australian Vogue lIving?!
ReplyDeleteJust wondering if you got my e mail, am thinking it may have gone into your spam again!
xo Sarah
It's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI think, if you put it against a mirror, as it is on the VL pic, it will double the details and will make it look even more intricate.
Anyways, I have a few issues of VL and I love them!

ReplyDeleteOoooh I love this! How cool and unique. Where did you find it?
ReplyDeleteExcelent "find"! I love this "branch mirror" too... Once in a while I see it decorating the amazing rooms of the magazines, and it always call my attention!
ReplyDeleteGreat job Cassandra of finding a less expensive version!

Totally gorg...but $698?! That's a bit steep for a mirror in my humble opinion.
ReplyDeleteOh, wow! What a statement. Love that you found this...
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely mirror! The texture is great!
ReplyDeleteThat spread from Australian Vogue Living was one of my favourites ever! Love the layered mirrors and I think your find is a perfect substitute- gorgeous!
ReplyDelete$700? For real? Or was that the price of the original mirror in Aussie Vogue Living? Please share with us where you located the one you feature today and any details you have....I have the PERFECT spot for this....didn't know I needed it until I saw it....now I fear I, too, will be mounting a search...but $700 DOES bring me up SHORT!!! Thank you, thank you!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely stunning! I love!xx
ReplyDeleteWhy use too many words? Simply, UNIQUE!

ReplyDeleteGorgeous...really beautiful.
ReplyDeletegasp! i want that!!! it's gorgeous. what a great find.
ReplyDeleteGreat post! Everyone who thought the less expensive (by Made Goods) mirror was too expensive should know that the original (by Hérve Van Der Straeten) is bronze and costs upwards of $15 grand! There was also a really inexpensive one by Pottery Barn that can be found sometimes on Ebay!

THANK YOU Elizabeth! Believe it or not, people, $700 can be considered 'more affordable' when were talking about designer pieces ;)
ReplyDeleteI love it, great find.
ReplyDeleteI think Made Goods makes the original... Not sure though.
ReplyDeleteThat is too cool!
