This week's hostess isn't afraid to take risks, that much was clear the moment she opened the door in that stunning one-shouldered Marchesa number, and it didn't stop there.
For this, the grandest of fall meals she chose to throw a playful twist at the traditional color palette. Isn't a little shock of lavender just what the holiday table needs to keep the family smiling?
And whoever said she'd only be able to wear her lilac eyelet Brian Atwood heels in the spring is most certainly eating their words right along with their turkey.
Cheers to shaking up traditions (and a few martinis, of course) and to a wonderful Thanksgiving for all!

oh yes, lilac and all the purple hues are one of my favorites, and I'm seriously thinking on it for my holiday decor and dress! xo

What a playful twist on the traditional holiday color palette… the kind that makes you cringe as the tune of ‘the little drummer boy’ traipses into your head. All that poinsettia and heavy warm tones. While a traditional holiday favorite for many, I do enjoy this fresh outlook! Love the lavender… lover the low floral arrangements. Thank you for sharing!! I am a designer in the luxury hotel word... much of that seems the same thing over and over as well. I have loved seeing your posts and getting inspiration for color schemes/design!
