But those raindrops often bring along with them a damp chill that only something presented in a warm mug can dispel. More often than not, it’s a coffee 'with a little kick' that gains my undivided attention.
Coffee With A Kick:
3 tablespoons each brandy, Kahlúa, and crème de cacao
3 cups freshly brewed coffee (Stumptown is a personal favorite of mine)
4 tablespoons whipped cream
Divide brandy, Kahlúa, and crème de cacao between two mugs (this recipe is perfect for sharing!). Add half of coffee to each. Top with whipped cream if you like. Serves 2 in a matter of moments.

My favorite coffee with a kick is what we called in Quebec, Brazilian Coffee. The alcohol part is cognac, Grand Marnier and Tia Maria. You flame the alcohol. It is my favorite after-dinner drink after a day of ski.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds FABULOUS. If it wasn't 80 degrees here in Florida right now, I would totally whip this up!

Sounds like an amazing idea! Love this! I just had some whiskey and hot cider.
ReplyDeleteA neighborhood bar and restaurant in my hometown serves these coffee drinks, and they are partially responsible for the loss of my girlish figure years ago!

ReplyDeleteWe're actually having cool weather here in L.A. with a little rain. This sounds heavenly. Reminds me of my snowy days in Boston on Newbury Street when we would walk into a bar during a snow storm and drink coffee drinks with whip cream to warm up. Love your images today. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAhh, these pictures make me want to curl up on the couch for an entire day!
