RUE OF THE WEEK
No, that's not a typo. This week instead of just any ol' room, we're giving you an exclusive sneak peek at a fabulous little home that will be featured in the upcoming premiere issue of Rue Magazine!
First off, let's talk about how much I'm lusting after this fresh all-white palette right now! I've decided that despite my love of color, white walls are it for me. The color can come elsewhere! Plus, look at how perfectly it shows off the collection of artwork, and accent pieces like the warm leather butterfly chair.
While I always love a big room shot, I live for the little vignettes featured in decor mags, just like this one. They seem to reveal a little more about the owner, don't you think? (Nope, we're not giving away whose home this is!) This combo of old + new with black + white is killing me... especially with that worn in classic rug.

Two things about this awesome sneak peek post:
1) I'm a lover of the detailed, close-up vignette shots, too.
2) Those Kate Spade shoes? Amazing.

I instantly fell in love with that shaggy rug. It looks extra cozy and inviting... I'd probably never wear shoes again! Unless they were those sparkly Kate Spades... yummy!
Love this space though my eye is drawn to that vintage looking bench...those legs that color, just fabulous! Can't wait to see you in NYC, sounds like I better go shoe shopping!

Eeeek! I think I am going to downscale on the color and bust out with white floors,too. Seems like a perfect juxtaposition to the approach of the Fall/Winter season. Maybe a winter white??

Ah, no wonder Victoria wasn't posting more photos of her new home, this big reveal is fantastic! Very excited to see more of it in Rue!

She did a great job choosing her new home. The light in that room is amazing! I think we've all come to know and love the characters in those paintings over the years as much as she has. It's so nice to see them in their new home!

I used to be allergic to white but now I crave it as long as it's not sterile and there are other interesting elements around. I love that room in the first photo.

I had to go back and re-read the fact that you never posted the home owner's name. It was obvious to me from the first photo that it must be Victoria, maybe it's the paintings or some other details that give it away. I look forward to seeing the spread.

Love the white too especially with that wood floor. I don't like cold spaces and that floor warms the whole area...love the rug too!

I got an e-mail from Ban.do about their feature in Rue Magazine. I was only able to post one picture they sent on my blog, but the entire spread was incredible!
I am in love with Rue. A great, creative magazine. Something different, colorful, & fun!
