COCKTAILS AT SIX: WASABI BLOODY MARY'S

Who said Cocktails At Six had to be 6pm - how about the perfect cocktail for 6am (for mine & your sake, I do hope it's actually a few hours later than that!)? Some weekend evenings out need that little extra kick the following morning. I recommend spicing up the traditional Bloody Mary with a little something special...

The Wasabi Bloody Mary

1/2 cup fresh lime juice
6 cups tomato juice
4 1/2 teaspoons wasabi paste
3 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
1 1/4 teaspoons hot pepper sauce
3/4 teaspoons salt
1 1/2 cups vodka
Celery sticks for garnish

Combine lime juice & wasabi with a whisk until wasabi dissolves. Combine mixture with tomato juice, Worcestershire, pepper sauce & salt in a pitcher; chill. Stir in vodka & serve over ice. Garnish with a celery stick. Serves 8.

  3. Woah! That'd for sure wake you up. We were just talking about this the other day at work. Some people love wasabi and some don't...but those who do REALLY do! I will have to take this recipe to the girls at work so they can make one. Sounds good!
