BEHR IT ALL

When the latest looks from designer Jennifer Behr came my way a few weeks ago I literally gasped at the opening shot of her fall/winter 2010 lookbook...

I mean, who doesn't fantasize about black lace looking this good? But what's amazing is that the styles only got better...

Rhinestones, fur, studded mesh and leather. Sumptuous, luxurious and badass all in their own right.

After so many seasons of avoiding black, I'm dying to have it back again. The richness of the velvet is so good!

And if I had to pick just one I might even get brave and try the turban style, just for a change. Then again... rhinestones are a girl's best friend...

  2. I love all these pieces. I especially love how they took something so girly and styled them in an edgy way with the girls edgy hair. My favorite are the delicate jeweled headbands.

  8. I am so excited to give velvet a try again. It's been many seasons since I let velvet into my life. Somehow velvet seems more refined and less 1992 these days...

Absolutely. These designs are beyond gorgeous.

Can I just say how much I'm loving that models hair, too? New project: Attempting one of her messy "updos" a la the last leafy headband photo ... SO pretty!
