Especially these gorgeous rugs with their pops of unexpected modern color infused into traditional ethnic, graphic patterns.

While I don't know how I'd bring them into my own home, I'm shopping anyway...

A graphic solution? This new style from Ikea. The gorgeous solution? This stunning vintage piece from Mansour Modern. Which would you choose?

Oh, soo pretty. Did you notice all the rugs you picked have fuscia?? I love that color in a rug, it makes it for me, that and coral, or peach. YUM!!! (BTW, have you seen the latest JCrew catalogue? Dark blue rug, sooo sexy.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving lately ethnic patterned rugs, they're SO charming and add a kind of warmth to a space. Lovely post, Cassandra! xoxox
ReplyDeleteThe vintage one is much more my style...
ReplyDeleteLove all these bright rugs! I have been trying to find a brightly colored rug for my office and have yet to find the perfect one....maybe because I am like you and can't see it being in my house. Great inspiration though!
ReplyDeleteOh, it's light a harem tent in here, with all the magic carpets laid about like like tortilla chips across the floor. Never know when you might want to take one for a full moon ride.
ReplyDeleteCheers!
Love this.....especially the third photo...THOSE drapes - oh so lovely.....and speaking of lovely - why is it everytime I find a new blog to look at I look at the Inspirations on the side - and there you are - you are fabulous!
ReplyDeletei LOVE bold! - it's hard for me to do "nuetral" - i always end up adding "pops" of color - the 2 rugs at the end - i'd go for the 2nd one - the 1st one reminds me of an 80's man's sweater or something ..
ReplyDeletelove the bold rugs! what do you think about mixing and matching patterns? I have a white couch with a gold damask print on it and was thinking about throwing a black and white striped rug under it?
ReplyDeleteone of my clients wants the ikea one. I love it, but it goes with nothing else in her house.
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful rugs. Art pieces and rugs are so important in a room. These are so plush and bright.

i LOVE this post and have been eyeing a rug like this forever. love the roundup! xo
ReplyDeleteI love the rugs you have chosen (and WANT them ALL!!!) They seem so versatile...could work in a modern or traditional room, kid's room, dining room, bedroom. I am searching for the perfect rug for my patio (long and narrow and cold) and one of these could definitely be "the one". Thanks for the inspiration!!
ReplyDeleteI love all the fuschia I am seeing! I've been swooning fuschia + navy.....have to have it!
ReplyDeleteI'd definitely choose vintage. But my wallet, I'm sure, can only go for the Ikea piece. Haha
ReplyDeleteLovely post... Like the colors! xoxo alice
ReplyDeletei don't even like pink but i love the first one..
ReplyDeleteI love the vintage one as well. I agree that the ethnic quality, yet vibrant colors are a modern way to warm up a room. Thanks for posting always looking to be more knowledgeable on rugs!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE rug in the first one. What a statement piece. Thanks for sharing. :)
ReplyDeleteyou might also dig the thomas paul and amy butler collections for chandra. cool stuff, just google.I don't work for them, don't worry, but have used their pieces before.
ReplyDeleteThank you Cassandra! I suppose I am biased but I would lean towards the Mansour Modern vintage piece ;)
ReplyDeleteNeat the way those blue walls contrast with that raspberry rug. To me, that presents a whole new way of working with a brightly colored floor covering. In fact, there's a lot that's special about that room. Very interesting and inspiring!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the colors in the first photo--it is so calming but sassy at the same time.
ReplyDeleteLove the grey couch in the first picture. Any idea where it can be purchased?
