Especially these gorgeous rugs with their pops of unexpected modern color infused into traditional ethnic, graphic patterns.

While I don't know how I'd bring them into my own home, I'm shopping anyway...

A graphic solution? This new style from Ikea. The gorgeous solution? This stunning vintage piece from Mansour Modern. Which would you choose?

  1. Oh, soo pretty. Did you notice all the rugs you picked have fuscia?? I love that color in a rug, it makes it for me, that and coral, or peach. YUM!!! (BTW, have you seen the latest JCrew catalogue? Dark blue rug, sooo sexy.

  5. Oh, it's light a harem tent in here, with all the magic carpets laid about like like tortilla chips across the floor. Never know when you might want to take one for a full moon ride.

    Cheers!

  7. i LOVE bold! - it's hard for me to do "nuetral" - i always end up adding "pops" of color - the 2 rugs at the end - i'd go for the 2nd one - the 1st one reminds me of an 80's man's sweater or something ..

  8. love the bold rugs! what do you think about mixing and matching patterns? I have a white couch with a gold damask print on it and was thinking about throwing a black and white striped rug under it?

  15. I love the rugs you have chosen (and WANT them ALL!!!) They seem so versatile...could work in a modern or traditional room, kid's room, dining room, bedroom. I am searching for the perfect rug for my patio (long and narrow and cold) and one of these could definitely be "the one". Thanks for the inspiration!!

  24. Neat the way those blue walls contrast with that raspberry rug. To me, that presents a whole new way of working with a brightly colored floor covering. In fact, there's a lot that's special about that room. Very interesting and inspiring!
