A bit aspirational, but oh so inspiring, no? The way designer Krista Ewart balanced the large scale table with a full wall mirror and that centerpiece of a painting is so lovely! And, despite some of these heavy features, the space stays open and light by neutralizing some of the accessories that could have been distracting (the all white chandelier and figurines on the sideboard). Using the aqua throughout in different textiles ties everything together perfectly. I'm especially loving the addition of the bench to the table which brings down the formality of the antique style pieces. What do you think, dear readers? Will this one be added to your list of favorites?
So lovely! The colors are beautiful.

I like the blue and pink color scheme, it feels a little retro to me, but also quite fresh.
ReplyDeleteI have recently fallen out of love with my dining room and you're making me think now that it might be the lack of color. Looking forward to some more.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful! Love how antique this room looks, the table+bench are a great detail!
ReplyDeletethis is gorgeous, love the mix. Just checked out her portfolio, equally stunning!
ReplyDeleteSo extravagant! I love it. My favorite part is the pop of pink in the painting....
ReplyDeleteThe mirror and bench are très magnifique!
ReplyDeleteI'm not crazy about the color palette, but the blend of textures and styles are way cool.
ReplyDeleteWow, this room is so fun. I love the colors :)

Thanks you so much for sharing! I really like the color of the chairs and the contrast with the light brown carpeting and vintage mirror. The space looks functional and classy :)

Love the chairs. Krista's one of my favorite designers. She has the most amazing spread in this month's issue of House Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThis is plain gorgeous. I love how Krista Ewart mixed the vintage & modern style. Everything in this room seems like a piece of sculpture and the aqua color actually invites you to make yourself comfortable at home. I also noticed the chandelier and accessories in front of the cute artwork. She selected the perfect solid white color to make the rest of the the furnitures the main focal point, made it invisible but also deserved to be seen. She balanced it perfectly. This room is very friendly, entertaining and it makes me happy! Definitely one of my favorite dining room too. Great choice! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! The only thing I don't totally love is the table base, and the window treatment feels skimpy to me (but given what she has to work with in terms of that window, I'm not sure there is a better solution).
ReplyDeleteThe colors are really, really lovely.
LOVE the chairs...I'm obsessed with that teal/turquoise color right now.
ReplyDeleteThis is way inspiring but it fells a little cramped from the picture/photo...how does it feel to stub your toe there?.....ouch!!!!
ReplyDeleteVery inspired ensemble though that I would love to see in person.
