LET THEM EAT POSH

It's almost Memorial Day Weekend, which means lots of fingers crossed for sunny weather around these parts! If we were staying in town, I'd love to pack a pretty little picnic for the girls, just like this!

Instead, the boy and I will be spending the weekend road-tripping to Montana in the rain, but I'm still excited to spend some time in the country with the fam despite the weather. What will you be up to this 3-day weekend??

I am going to Montana next week - Daniels county on the Canadian border. Any fun suggestions? Enjoy your weekend.

We will be sticking close to home, where the traffic should finally slow down. We even get the urge to follow along the coastline, among the misty gray skies that will be blanketing the view. Our June gloom is already here.

We are blessed with a deck in the forest above a beautiful river. (we would have lived in a pup-tent if it was attached to this deck!) So we will either sit on the deck and bbq chicken & peaches or sit in the family room looking out the windows if it rains. In Portland, it could be both in one day!

A posh picnic?! Fab! We have friends from San Francisco coming to visit us in Palm Springs and are so excited to see them and be around people under the age of 80! I think we'll show them Pioneer Town and Pappy & Harriet's and take them on our own High Desert Modern Design Tour:

But first, a SATC 2 afternoon matinee, of course!

Oh a picnic would be wonderful this weekend! However, here in Missoula and the rest of Montana we'll just have more rain for you. Happy travels!

I would love to have a picnic with these things! I was so excited to see the champagne glasses from my favorite San Francisco shop - Eden and Eden!
The weather is supposed to be nice here in SF this weekend, but who knows. Today I feel like I'm back in Alaska - cold, rainy and grey (with a very random sprinkling of blue sky and sun).

Dying over those goblets! I'll dream of a posh picnic when I am poolside in Palm Desert this weekend....

I can't imagine how elegant I would feel sipping something out of those gold goblets and laid out on the Hermes blanket.
We Canadians had our long weekend last week but will support the American friends and their adventures.

Great items! I had to save a few of them - especially that cute tote and the napkins and silverware from Kate's!

what a gorgeous picnic spread! i'll definitely be using this idea for a girls afternoon later this summer--we're supposed to have rainy weather all weekend here so no picnics for memorial day unless they're indoors.

I'm hopefully going to a stately home in the country with my fella - surprisingly he loves it as much as I do! Might persuade him to pack a posh picnic, although they serve a mean afternoon tea.. Tough call. Have a good time!
