Je T'aime Paris

All weekend, I've been dreaming about running off to Paris ... Ever since my friend Nicole mentioned going next month, I can't get it out of my head!

And then I stumbled upon Coeur de Pirate... I have no idea what she's saying, but I love her voice, and the cute sweet video. While I don't usually post music on my blog, I just had to share...

Le *sigh*. Oh, Paris. It's been too long...

I couldn't agree more! I've been in Paris for a month now and I must leave on Thursday to return to the States (aka Real Life). I don't want to leave! Je préfère ma vie à Paris.

If you ever have the chance to come to Paris for an extended stay, DO IT! Don't think twice, don't rationalize, just GO.

such a lovely voice and music
I googled "Coeur de Pirate" and...
it is by 18 year old Béatrice Martin who has played the piano from the age of three. In March 2007, after five years of music education, she started composing her own songs. Members of Bonjour Brumaire noticed her and asked her to join their group as singer and keyboardist. This spring Béatrice left the group to concentrate on Coeur de Pirate, her solo project. With only four concerts to its credit, Coeur de Pirate has gotten its fame mainly on Myspace. Her first self-titled album “Coeur de Pirate” was released September 16 on Grosse Boite records.

Le *sigh*. Oh, Montreal. It's been too long ... and Quebec is closer than a huge hike to Europe.

Wait a bit, it's still cold here!
Montreal is at it's best in July, with all the festivals!
